Gah it has been forever I update the blog, I'm sooo sorry. I been busy with reading books and watching more dramas (mostly japanese) and I'm now a CSI fan. This is what happen when one is bored at home. I'm currently watching CSI- Las Vegas and found myself a hottie in the show ^___________^

This is my first drama review (beside the FH 2 ranting one) hopefully its okay haha ^_^

Anyways it has been a while my family finish VOH 2 and since I had a huge gap in between my classes, I begin picking up old dramas to watch and recently last month I begin rewatching VOH 2. I really do miss all the laughing from this drama and the characters so much.

I’m just barely up episode 250 (in Vietnamese) my guess is that it’s around 374ish in Cantonese. Steven Ma (Sze Gee San- Ivan) came out already and he lost all his fortune to his uncle because Ivan grew up as a spoil brat who wasted his money on random things. Nancy Sit (Yau Nim Chi) took Ivan into her family because his father saved Kam Wah this one time. When he enters into her family he was still a spoil brat wanting this and that and when the others Ah Yuet, Ah Lo and Gam got him a job at Ka Yan he took it for granted. At that moment Nim Chi lecture Ivan on his behavior and that he’s isn’t rich anymore. He got mad and declares that he doesn’t need them and that he can survive on his own. Later he learn from his mistake after being poor (hungry, homeless, etc) and decides to become a new leaf and start all over from scratch and he begins to work with the others at Ka Yan.

I have to say, its so weird seeing Steven as a spoil brat but good thing he change at the end. In most dramas, I see Steven as a righteous person, who is always honest, or jokes around a bit and goofy, but not really spoiled.

Steven’s character came in after Hawick decided to leave which sadden me. After Frankie (Kam Nin- Chris) left I was sad that one of the main characters left. I really love Chris as the older brother, he’s always there for his siblings and his family though he’s slow on the love thing but I really admire him a lot. When they added Hawick (Yau/Du Ka Sing), I thought that he wasn’t going to do a good job as Chris but he turn out alright. Even though Hawick doesn’t have the look to be the older brother of Frankie’s character I enjoy his performance. To be honest, I begin to have a crush on him ever since he appeared in show. ^_^ Its just pity that he decided to leave and the storyline sorta went downhill a bit but with Steven appearance, things change.

If I have to choose between Hawick, Steven and Frankie, man its going to be hard. I love all three but I have to say I favor Steven the most out of three than its Frankie and Hawick. All three are talented actors but it seems that Hawick seems to be lacking something along with Frankie but I love all three guys. Plus I like Steven voice since I enjoy listening to his songs (yes I’m bias :D)

With Frankie’s departure from the show, Bernice (Wong Yee- Joey) left too. It’s just sad that these two are well known to be the golden couple in the ancient version but in this version they were not meant to be. I really love their scenes but too bad they barely have many scenes together since they don’t have much on screen time. The people that need to be focus on rarely have the much on screen time.

When Hawick, Frankie and Bernice left, I sorta wanted to give up on the drama but I continued to watch because of Bondy Chiu, Michael Tse, Kingdom Yuen. I really love the wife-husband relationship Bondy and Michael (Ah Lo and Ah Yuet) had. Bondy did a great job as Ah Lo (I have to say way better than the ancient version). Though she might be a mean and stingy but hey that’s life. I really love how dominate she is over Ah Yuet, instead of having a men dominate relationship it’s brings out the comedy of it.

I’m happy that Bondy is Ah Lo since I cannot imagine anybody else playing it. Her acting is really convincing, I remember one scene where Lily, Sugar and Gigi were talking bad about Ah Lo in the bathroom on how Ah Lo treated Ah Yuet badly, and Ah Lo was in one of the bathroom stalls listening to it. The tears in her eyes were really convincing causing me to tear up for her too. I have to say I favor Ah Lo & Ah Yuet over Chris & Joey in this installment.

I really love Ah Lo’s look after she straight out her hair, it brings the beauty out of her a lot and matches really well with her clothing style. I didn’t like it when her hair was sorta poof out, reminds me of an episode in Friends where Monica hair went poof out due to humidity at the place.

My other favorite character is Kingdom Yuen (Kam Sa Sa). Her character is really entertaining. Her love for Dai Kei (11th Brother) is really admirable. She’s famous for wearing yellow and mushroom hair but she later changed it due to an incident. After 11th brother found out her love for him, he was disguised and pushed her away causing her to be in pain and to move on she must forget him and later all sudden Wong Sheung fell in love with her due to her kindness and caring for people like his dead wife. Soon 11th Brother found out her other traits different from other women he been with and begins to love her. Ying Gei and her were best friends since high school but due to a misunderstanding became rivals.

I laugh at every time they get into a competition and the others (mostly Ah Lo, Ah Yuet and Lau Gam) suffer from the outcome of it, especially the tennis scene. Those three got beaten up by tennis balls! But later the misunderstanding got resolve and they became best friends again. The other thing I enjoy most from Sa Sa is imaginary world mostly relates to Return of Condor Heroes where she was Long Nu and 11th Brother was Yang Guo. I keep on laughing whenever she images things which is opposite from the original story haha

I’m gonna end the mid-review here and in my next post I will continue with the leftover characters ^_^

Also I want to thank MetalAZNWarrior website on VOH that I got the names from in pinyin since I can wrote their names only in viet and its weird.
